Shree Peetha Nilaya (SPN) is the largest and most established Bhakti Marga spiritual centre and ashram. It is also the primary residence of Paramahamsa Vishwananda when he is not traveling the world.
The name means ‘Abode of Maha Lakshmi’ and it was the Divine Mother Herself who asked Paramahamsa Vishwananda to give his ashram this name. It is the heart of the Bhakti Marga world, welcoming thousands of people throughout the year for events, festivals, courses and worship services.
The ashram is a place where spiritual seekers live in peace and tranquillity amidst nature. Within this environment, one can pray, sing the name of the divine, perform Seva, and simply be happy. People are continuously drawn to Shree Peetha Nilaya to evolve in consciousness, deepen their Sadhana (spiritual practice) and experience divine love.
Paramahamsa Sri Swami Vishwananda
The Ashram offers something for first-time visitors and long-time devotees alike: the ability to gain knowledge and leave with a direct experience of their own potential. You are invited to come take part in a festival or a course, or to stay a while and experience ashram life through the Bhakti Marga Seva Program. Everyone is welcome, and no one leaves empty-handed.
Ashram Living
Ashram life is unique. All of the daily activities are centred around making every action an offering to the Divine. Each of the nearly 100 residents know the blessing and value of seva (selfless service) and would be happy to share their experiences with you. Guests are asked to take part in daily seva as part of their ashram experience; in addition to the joy of serving, they also receive the blessing of Maha Lakshmi Herself.
Stay at the Ashram
The Shree Peetha Nilaya ashram hosts over 50 events a year, some of these events last a few hours and others last for several days. If you would like to come and stay with us we have 250 beds available for guests. Some of our larger events can be quite full so it is best to book in advance, sometimes several months are necessary to secure a room.
