Babaji Surya Namaskar is a moving prayer of gratitude that combines reverence and awareness of the Divine with an ancient set of yoga asanas (postures). A simple practice of 6-8 daily rounds takes only 10-15 minutes, and can provide the same benefits as 45 minutes of Hatha Yoga: strength, positive energy flow, and clarity of mind.
Our moving meditation, Babaji Surya Namaskar, celebrates the divinity of the human body temple. It takes only a few minutes a day and brings light and aliveness into your whole being. As your daily practice takes root in the core of your body, thinking subsides and your movements become a soft, conscious expression of your inner strength.
Babaji Surya Namaskar is free class which is often taught in conjunction with Atma Kriya Yoga and Simply Meditation course. It may also be available at fairs and special events. You can learn the basics in only a couple of hours, and then you will have a well-rounded practice for a lifetime of health and flexibility.
Surya Namaskar is an exercise which you do every day. It is an exercise of saluting the sun and where each part of your body is infused with the sun’s rays inside: sun energy.
